Problem
The challenge for this website was being able to take the large amount of information that the client wanted included and organizing it into manageable pieces that were as easy as possible to navigate.
Solution/Impact
The first thing I did while designing was to simplify. I started by combining what were separate pages on the old site into one page. I also removed unnecessary information from those sections. The menu on the old website had seven links. I wanted to simplify this, so I took two of the links and moved them to the footer of the website where those types of links are usually found.
The many services the company offers made the services page a challenge. To help the user quickly navigate to a certain service, I made a submenu at the top of the page. When the user clicks the link, it takes them directly to the section. To make it easy to return to the top of the page, I added a button that sticks to the top corner of the page.
My Role
- Video Editing
- Website Design
- Social Media Images
In addition to creating branding materials, a website, and social media posts, I also edited a video the client requested me to put on the home page. My goal was to make it less distracting so more attention would be given to the call-to-action.
